Personality: Always cheery and upbeat, Gaspard is often seen with his typical goofy smile across his face. Although people can be initially frightened of him since he’s a ghost, once you get to know Gaspard you’ll find that he’s a very sweet guy and quite the talker. Gaspard currently works as an Inn Keeper and loves his job since he gets to meet new people, talk to them and help others. Gaspard is an extremely loyal friend and treasures all of his close friends; he will not hesitate to do whatever it takes to help them in a time of need. It almost seems as if Gaspard doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, well almost…

While he is nice, Gaspard does have some outlandish behaviors which can tend to put people off: his fondness for nudity being the biggest one. It’s not uncommon to find Gaspard skinny dipping or walking around his lodging butt-naked. Gaspard can also be quite a mooch and has no problem hitting on any hot person (boy or girl) who’s walking by him. He has a tendency to be a bit vain, but he means no harm by it: he just truly appreciates the beauty of the human body.


History: Originally hailing from the Dark Forest, not much is known about Gaspard’s past and it’s the only subject that he’s oddly quiet about. Gaspard often mentions how he misses his younger brother and that he comes from a big family, but that’s the only indication of his past that he’ll ever give. One thing is for sure though: Gaspard is very skilled at fighting, but how he became so skilled is yet another mystery. Having the strong desire to help others, Gaspard first started out as a wandering priest who specialized in slaying evil spirits, however, he didn’t find much work since he frightened a lot of people off due to being a ghost. After wandering around for some time, he finally decided to settle down in Steel Cave where he made a lot of good friends that he treasured dearly.

After the Kami Trio War: About a month before the disaster of the Kami Trio War struck, Gaspard informed his friends that he was going on a journey and would be back in about a week. This was not the case, however, as Gaspard mysterious went missing without a trace. It was assumed that he was killed during the war, but once the war was over, he showed up out of the blue at Noir Vale. Having come into a bit of money recently, Gaspard quickly built an inn and let anyone who didn’t have a place to stay sleep there for free. It seemed like Gaspard was the same as always: giving all that he had to help others out, but those closest to him can tell that something changed within Gaspard. He just doesn’t seem as happy-go-lucky as he used to.


Additional Info:
-Like all Gastlys, Gaspard does have fang-like teeth, however, he is not a vampire, he does not drink blood and definitely doesn't sparkle.
-Gaspard is quite musically talented and is often seen playing his shakuhachi in his downtime. If he's feeling extra generous, he may even be kind enough to sing for you, although he's actually quite shy about singing in front of others.
-Gaspard's favorite treat is poison berries; he's unaffected by their poison though since he's part poison type.
-Gaspard loves going for nightly flights and will gladly take people on flights with him.
-He never wears any underwear, ever, despite the fact that he's constantly flying through the air. It'd be wise not to look up at him from below, ha.
-If you ask a question that he doesn't want to answer, he'll just smile and move onto a different subject like you never even asked it.
-He’s 5’10” and 142lbs.
-Since Gaspard never charges people to stay at his inn, people often wonder how he’s able to get the finances to run and maintain the place. To this, Gaspard just smiles mysteriously and responds that he has a side job that he does from time to time to earn money and will offer no further explanation.
-Speaking of the inn, anyone is welcome to stay for free, but sometimes, you might wake up to find Gaspard sleeping in the bed next to you. He can’t stand sleeping alone; it’s just another one of his eccentric traits that make you love him all the more.
-Gaspard is often seen carrying around a golden locket in his pocket. He says that it’s a special gift from someone dear to him.</sub>
